Why Kiwanis?
KIDS NEED KIWANIS
We are passionate about making a difference.
Helping kids grow and succeed is at the heart of everything we do.
But how we do it is just as important.
We believe our neighborhoods and our world are best served when
people of all ages and different backgrounds work together to share their time and talents.
The Okotoks Kiwanis Vision & Goal
“Yes this was our vision in late 2017 and it was accomplished! In November last year a group pf men and women had a celebration at the Field house where we were presented with our Kiwanis Charter. Mayor Bill was our guest speaker, we received great press coverage from the Western Wheel and just had a great evening!”
So what’s Kiwanis? We became part of an international organization of volunteers that together with our “family of clubs” are nearly 700,000 members strong; and about to celebrate our 100 year birthday party! Together we annually dedicate more than 18 million volunteer hours to strengthen communities and help children.

Great Beginnings
In addition to the Toy Project and Kamp Kiwanis we have also found the time to have a BBQ and set up and manage a booth at the Light Up Okotoks event. Great times were had by all!
Kamp Kiwanis
You may have heard about this very well respected Kids Kamp located just outside of Bragg Creek? The reason we say this is that many citizens throughout our Province have either been at the Kamp as a child or know someone that has.
We Need You!
Kiwanis Okotoks is always recruiting volunteers and needing donations to fulfill our many projects for deserving children!
Toy Project
You may be surprised but every community has dozens of children that “fall thru the cracks” at Christmas time; most often due to economics and family trauma.
