You may have heard about this very well respected Kids Kamp located just outside of Bragg Creek? The reason we say this is that many citizens throughout our Province have either been at the Kamp as a child or know someone that has. The Kamp, which is situated on 140 forested acres, exists to serve disadvantaged children and their families. In 2016 approximately 4,000 youth attended the Kamp and benefited from either an Outdoor School, a Summer Kamp, or a Leadership Program.

An Update!

“So we took a chance and approached the Director of the Kamp (Chris) with the idea that if the Kamp took in a few kids from our neck of the woods this year that we would try and find funding for more kids in future years. The reason for this request is that last summer we were still not a recognized Kiwanis Club and had no money. The Kamp said YES and so did Kidsport, as they were able to quickly round up 10 kids who were in effect sponsored by Kamp Kiwanis.”
